I recently had an opportunity to do a product review on the Abby Twist Top from Satin Woods.
I don't want to gush too much about it but I loved it! But before I go into the details, let me start at the beginning. I received my package in the mail from Satin Woods and it was so nicely packaged it was like getting an early Xmas gift to unwrap. I was kinda sold already on the top just from the box - I know I am an easy sale, it could have just been the fact it wasn't a bill that had me so excited but it was really nice packaging.
Honestly, I don't think the picture does the top justice - the colour is beautiful and the material is such a nice light blend and weight. When I tried it on I was happy to see it fit true to size, although the deep V-neck was alittle to deep for me. I think the neckline would be an individual choice, I wore it with a camisole underneath and it was fine.
I was really happy with how flattering the cut was to my figure, holding most of my weight on my stomach the flared bottom had just enough flare to conceal what I wanted to hide but wasn't too much fabric that it made me look pregnant. The twist of material under the bust, also helped to make my waist look a little bit smaller. I also liked the fact that there was a seam across the back; you don't get that "box" look that sometimes happens with plus size tops. The flared sleeves really sealed the deal, I hate my arms and so when I can find something that hides them in anyway I am sold!
I like to do a laundry test for any product review because you never know how a product will look after going through the ringer : I washed it in cold and hung it to dry. The colour didn't fade, the shape stayed the same and the material looked like new. Laundry test: Pass.
Finally I would have to say my favourite thing about this top (aside from all the compliments I got) is its versatility. I wore the top to a client meeting, came home only to have to run out immediately for errands so I quickly changed my dress pants to jeans and ran out the door. Casual or dressy the Abby Twist Top passed the test.
