My Picks for the SwimsuitForAll.com Contest

I am enjoying some downtime in St Maarten this week with my BFF and when I see all the cute suits everyone is wearing I am wishing I had planned ahead of time to order something from SwimsuitsForAll.com.  I am happy though that we are no longer limited in our choices.

(My view from the beach in Anguilla yesterday, just before I heard "shark!". Yikes! Apparently, shark in Italian is the same in English. No worries it was a baby reef shark.)

Even though I can't enter my $100 SwimsuitForAll.com giveaway, that doesn't mean I can't share some of my favourites.

Notice the suits I picked have alot of pattern.  Don't be scared of pattern in a bathingsuit.  Patterns distract the eye, instead of seeing a tummy or a butt your eyes notice the pattern not being aware of where one "asset" starts and another ends.  A pattern combined with a great cut can do alot for creating a nice silhouette.  Not to mention bright colours and florals look fantastic with a tan.

Fabulous Friday Find

Wow it has almost been a month since I last posted.  Family visits and work has kept me busy but not too busy to shop on Etsy!  Check out this adorable shop that I just found the other day, Blue Calla. 

I love cute patterned purses like these for the summer - okay who am I kidding for any season.   When you are running out the door, they put a smile on your face.  They are perfect for making a unique statement even when you are just wearing a pair of jeans and a tee.

With material purses like these, they are also easy to clean which is a bonus.

When I found Blue Calla I was so excited not because of the fun colour combinations, the bright interesting patterns, not even the many different styles but because she is from Toronto.  That means the next time I wait until the last minute to order a unique handmade gift from Etsy, I can shop local and it won't become a "happy belated birthday gift". And if I can't decide which bag would be more perfect I can give a gift certificate to Blue Calla.
